Chinese for Kids 1.2 (CANCELED)

This course is for kids who have successfully finished the course Chinese for Kids 1.1 or have the equivalent ability. In this course, while kids will continue to build up their vocabulary and characters, they start to learn basic grammar such as the word order and parts of speech. In the process of reviewing what they learned previously and learning new characters and vocabulary, kids will learn more radicals and their example words and phrases. Through storytelling, singing, reciting and many more fun games, kids will practice and consolidate what they learn in all four aspects of the Chinese language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. 

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, kids will be able to:

  1. Recognize about 100 new characters
  2. Master about 10 new Chinese radicals
  3. Be able to introduce own names and family members
  4. Be able to write Chinese numerals   

Pre-requisite: Beginner Chinese for Kids 1.1 or equevalent.

Tuition fee: QAR 1,300

Chinese for Kids 1.3

This course is for kids who have successfully finished the course Chinese for Kids 1.2 or have the equivalent ability. In this course, while kids will continue to build up their vocabulary and characters, they start to learn basic grammar such as the word order and parts of speech. In the process of reviewing what they learned previously and learning new characters and vocabulary, kids will learn more radicals and their example words and phrases. Through storytelling, singing, reciting and many more fun games, kids will practice and consolidate what they learn in all four aspects of the Chinese language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

  4. Write simple text such as names and greetings

Chinese for Kids 2.1

This course is for kids who have successfully finished the course Chinese for Kids 1.3 or have the equivalent ability. In this course, while kids will continue to build up their vocabulary and characters, they learn more basic grammar such as functional words and sentence structures. In the course of practicing what they learned previously and learning new characters and vocabulary, kids will learn various ways of expressing themselves. Through storytelling, singing, reciting and many more fun games, kids will practice and consolidate what they learn in all four aspects of the Chinese language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. 

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, kids will be able to:

  1. Recognize about 100 new characters
  2. Master about 10 new Chinese radicals
  3. Make simple conversations at ease
  4. Be able to write simple sentences

This course is for kids who have successfully finished the course Chinese for Kids 2.1 or have the equivalent ability. In this course, while kids will continue to build up their vocabulary and characters, they learn more basic radicals of characters, as well as grammatical points such as sentence structures. In the course of practicing what they learned previously and learning new characters and vocabulary, kids will learn more sophisticated ways of talking and understanding. Through storytelling, singing, reciting and many more fun games, kids will practice and consolidate what they learn in all four aspects of the Chinese language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. 

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, kids will be able to:

  1. Recognize about 100 new characters
  2. Master about 10 new Chinese radicals
  3. Be able to read simple text without help
  4. Be able to write simple sentences about daily life

Chinese for Kids 2.3 (CANCELED)

This course is designed for kids who have successfully finished the previous one Chinese for Kids 2.2 or reached an equivalent level. In this course, kids will learn more radicals and their related characters, while continuing to consolidate their vocabulary basis. They also learn grammar such as sentence structures and word order. Through practicing what they learned previously and learning new characters and their vocabulary, kids will learn different ways of expression. Storytelling, singing, reciting and many more fun games will be used in class. Kids will continue to practice in all four aspects of the Chinese language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. 

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, kids will be able to:

  1. Recognize about 130 new characters
  2. Master about 10 new Chinese radicals
  3. Be able to talk more fluently
  4. Be able to read story books by themselves

Chinese for Kids Post-Beginner

This course is for kids who have successfully finished the beginner level course or have the equivalent ability. In this course, kids will continue to learn more characters and vocabulary. In the process of reviewing and learning new characters, kids will learn more sophisticated radicals, in order to gain further knowledge of grammatical structure and polysemantic meaning of Chinese characters. Through comprehensive narrative reading, card game, riddle making, mini speech, and many more fun games, kids will consolidate their skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Chinese. 

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, kids will be able to:

  1. Recognize about 150 new characters
  2. Master about 20 new Chinese radicals
  3. Begin to write simple composition on various topics
  4. Be able to read children books in Chinese easily

Pre-requisite: Chinese for Kids 2.3 or equevalent.
