A Little History and Geography of the French “Gastronomie”
“Tell me what you eat, I’ll tell you who you are.” Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin
“Gastronomie” is the art, science and study of good eating and an extension of cooking. The French are known all around the world for their cuisine, their art de la table and their eating habits; and the Gastronomic meal of the French is inscribed on the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The French gastronomie is a culture and a way of life based on an old and strong tradition.
In this workshop, you will discover how this gastronomie has developed from the Gauls period to this day and you will be given a nice opportunity to discover the diversity of the French territories and food specialties.
Schedule: Saturday, 25 March 2017 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
